On Sunday, May 8th, 2016, Women’s Humane Society in Bensalem, PA. will be hosting Debbie Jacobs, author of A Guide to Living With & Training A Fearful Dog. Debbie is an expert in treating fear and anxiety in dogs and we are thrilled to be hosting this event. Debbie travels the globe speaking at shelters, to rescues and at dog training clubs about the challenges and rewards that are specific to fearful dogs.
This day-long event will cover topics such as:
* Why dogs are afraid
* What fear looks like
* Common myths & misunderstandings
* How to handle a fearful dog
* Training concepts & techniques
* Games & activities
* Medications, supplements & other calming aids
* Special focus on working with dogs with few to no social skills for interacting with people
3.5 CEU’s are available for CPDT’s, though dog owners, shelter workers, volunteers and veterinary professionals can all benefit from the information presented in this seminar.
